STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Scriptures.
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament were given by inspiration of God and are the only sufficient, certain and Authoritative rule of all saving knowledge, faith and obedience.
God.
There is but one God, the Maker, Preserver and Ruler of all things, having in and of himself, all perfections and being infinite in them all: and to Him al creatures owe the highest love, reverence and obedience.
The Trinity.
God is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.
Providence
God from eternity, decrees or permits all things that come to pass, and perpetually upholds, directs and governs all creatures and all events: yet so as to not destroy the free will and responsibility of intelligent creatures.
Election.
Election is God's eternal choice of some persons unto everlasting life - not because of foreseen merit in them, but of His mere mercy in Christ - in consequence of which choice they are called, justified and glorified.
The Fall of Man.
God originally created man in his own image and free from sin; but, through the temptation of Satan, he transgressed the command of God and fell from his original holiness and righteousness; whereby his posterity inherit a nature corrupt and wholly opposed to God and His law, are under condemnation and as the Apostle Paul says are born under the curse of sin, spiritually dead in sin as a curse of Adam's sin.
The Mediator.
Christ is the Mediator, not by imputing faith itself, the act of believing or ay other evangelical obedience to them, as their righteousness; but by imputing Christ's active obedience to the whole law and passive obedience in His death for their whole and sole righteousness by faith, which faith they have not of themselves; it is the gift of God.
Regeneration.
Regeneration is a change of heart, wrought by the Holy Spirit, who quickeneth the dead in trespasses and sins enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the word of God and renewing their whole nature, so they can by being made alive spiritually see spiritual things for the first time. They can hear the word of God clearly, understanding, for the first time. Now, for the first time, they can see their sinful nature and feel the guilt of sin. For the first time they can see the loveliness of Jesus and see Him as He really is. As the Holy Spirit begins to work faith and repentance in them they are irresistibly drawn to Christ, having also a desire to come to Him in their own hearts and mind.
Effectual Calling.
Those whom God has predestined unto life and hath regenerated by the Holy Spirit, a work totally done by God alone, with no human help, creating spiritual life in them, so He can now beginning to work gifts of grace in them. He is pleased in His accepted time, effectually to call by His Word and Spirit, out of that state of sin and death in which they were by nature, to grace and salvation by Jesus Christ; enlightening their minds spiritually and savingly to understand the things of God; taking away their hearts of stone and giving unto them a heart of flesh; renewing their wills and by His mighty power determining them to that which is good and effectually drawing them to Jesus Christ; yet so as they come most freely, being made willing by His Grace.
Faith.
There is saving faith and damning faith. Saving faith is a gift of God, which God gives each Elect person after regenerating said sinful Elect person. After the Elect person is made alive spiritually by the Holy Spirit so he can finally understand spiritual things God begins to work faith and repentance in him. He is able to exercise saving faith because God has given him the gift of faith. If it is not a gift, given him by God, there would be no way to tell if it were genuine faith. Also, every Elect person Regenerated by God will be saved. God would not predestinate, elect, regenerate and call an Elect Sinner, then leave the final, crucial piece of the puzzle for the person to decide for himself if he wants to be saved by an "Arminian decision." Damning faith is faith which is "professed by a sinner", while still dead in sin, without the spirit of God and prior to regeneration because a dead sinner prior to regeneration cannot savingly believe, because a dead man cannot believe unto salvation and will not believe unto salvation, even if he is told to pray a "sinners prayer. His faith has become a "work."
Repentance.
Repentance is an evangelical grace, wherein a person being, by the Holy Spirit, made sensible of the manifold evil of his sin, humbles himself for it, with Godly sorrow, detestation of it and self-abhorrence, with a purpose and endeavor to walk before God so as to please Him in all things.
Justification.
Those whom God effectually calleth, He also freely justifieth, not by infusing righteousness into them, but by pardoning their sins and by accounting and accepting their persons as righteous; not for anything wrought in them, or done by them, but for Christ's sake. Justification is a forensic term dealing with penal determinations. God declares each Elect, saved person as forgiven, innocent f all charges of sin because of Christ's taking said person's sin upon Himself and dying in his stead. Justification is done wholly within the God-head, with man having no part in the matter.
Sanctification.
Those who have been regenerated and effectually called are also sanctified, by God's Word and Spirit dwelling within them. This sanctification is progressive through the supply of Divine strength. Remaining corruption may remain, but the regenerate part doeth overcome. Thus Saints grow in grace pressing after a heavenly life, in obedience to the commands which Christ as Head and King, in His Word has prescribed them.
Perseverance of the Saints - Eternal Security
Those whom God has accepted in the Beloved and sanctified by His Spirit, will never totally or finally fall away from the state of grace, but shall certainly persevere to the end; and though they may fall, through neglect and temptation due to sin, whereby they grieve the Holy Spirit, impair their graces and comfort, bring reproach on the church and temporal judgments on themselves, yet they shall be renewed again unto repentance and be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.
The Church.
The Lord Jesus is the Head of the Church, which is composed of all His true Disciples and in Him is invested supremely for all power for its government. According to His commandment, Christians are to associate themselves into particular societies. Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is the divinely appointed mediator between God and man. Having taken upon Himself human nature, yet without sin, He perfectly fulfilled the Law, suffered and died upon the cross for the salvation of His Church, Bride, Sheep, words which Jesus used to describe those for whom He died. He was buried and rose again the third day and ascended to His Father, at whose hand He ever lives to make intercession for His people. He is the only Mediator, the Prophet, Priest and King of the Church and Sovereign of the Universe.
Resurrection.
The bodies of men after death return to dust, but their spirits return immediately to God - the righteous to rest with Him; the wicked to be reserved under darkness to the judgment. At the last day, the bodies of all the dead, both just and unjust will be raised.
The Judgment.
God hath appointed a day, wherein He will judge the World by Jesus Christ, when everyone shall receive according to his deeds; the wicked shall go into everlasting punishment; the righteous, into everlasting life.
